Plot
Joey and Dawson begin by arguing if romance can truly be found with Joey arguing against it. We get our first glimpse of the Icehouse, Joey's family restaurant. Dawson discusses her plans to make out with Jen which Pacey and Joey find pointless. Joey eyes a boy and meets him the next day on the docks. He identifies himself as Anderson Crawford. Joey pretends to be rich to impress Anderson and introduces herself as Deborah Carr. Meanwhile, Pacey tries to get cozier with Tamara by purposely flunking his tests so he can have a private tutoring session. Tamara still pushes Pacey away, however. Pacey admits that he isn't ready to jump into sex but still pursues her.
Dawson is officially let into the film class provided he be a stagehand for Nellie in the filming of Cliff's football film "Helmets of Glory" and is stuck running stupid errands for Nellie. The two hate each other but Dawson eventually saves the film by showing the cameramen how to film a difficult scene by using a wheelchair to steady the camera.
Meanwhile, Joey and Anderson go sailing. Playing around on a deserted beach, Anderson moves to kiss Joey who pulls away, unwilling to get too deep into the relationship. Anderson tells Joey that he values the truth above all else which disturbs Joey because she lied to him about her past. Joey returns to the work at the Icehouse and her cover is almost blown when Anderson visits but Jen and Body cover for her and lie to Anderson about Joey's true identity. Dawson seems oblivious. Anderson finally catches Joey's lies at night but still kisses her. Joey is disgusted at herself for lying.
Meanwhile, Dawson executes his plan to kiss Jen by shooting a night scene of Jen. The two trespass onto private property to shoot at a romantic fountain. Jen and Dawson have their first kiss hiding in the bushes after they hear someone approaching. The approaching figures are Pacey and Tamara who we see making love.

Great Lines
Dawson: That moment on the beach could be yours.
You could be Debra Karr.
Joey: Hmmm, sand in my crotch. Heaven.
Joey: I'm personally offended by this movie mentality that would have us believe that Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock are gonna magically drop from the sky and sweep us off our feet.
Dawson: I didn't know you had a thing for Brad Pitt.
Joey: I don't. It's an analogy.
Dawson: Sandra Bullock?
Pacey: I am a strong believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing.
Pacey: I got a maybe kind of sort of date tonight.
Joey: Who's the lucky farm animal?
Joey: I'm gonna kill you. One night in your sleep. A slit throat maybe, or a screwdriver to your temple. Be ready.
Cliff: That's why we gotta give it 110 percent!
Dawson: 8 days a week.
Cliff: Remember how hard we worked this summer? Now is when it pays off.
Dawson: With communal showers.
Cliff: Let's do it for the coach!
Dawson: He likes to watch.
Cliff: Let's go out there and show 'em what we're made of!
Dawson: There's no cliche here.
Cliff: Let's lay it on the line!
Dawson: May I have another?
Anderson: If you come sailing with me I'll show you my tatoo.
Joey: Gap-ad has a tatoo?

Stupid Jen Lines
-
"Yes, Deb and I go to the same school together in New York." -- Yeah, right! You hate that you are in the same school and world! You just envy Joey.
(Submitted by hater)
-
"I scare you?" -- You scare us all.
-
"What do we do now?" -- The retard (Jen) and Dawson had to hide in the ruins because they heard someone coming. Dawson said let's hide and Jen goes "What do we do now?" What do you think you do, jump up and down and scream? Dumbass.
(Submitted by Jenn Wagner)
-
"I've got two lines." -- Think you can handle that many?
-
"You've built this kiss up to be such a big deal. What if I'm a disappointment?" -- You are a disappointment.
-
"We can't all be prodigies." -- You don't need to worry, Jen.
-
"Cliff's a very nice guy." -- Remember, you're dating Dawson.
